INDES Effort & Glory 2025 Winners | Content Writers

This Saturday, the National Sports Institute (INDES) honored the outstanding Salvadoran athletes of 2025 in the fourth edition of the Effort and Glory “Legado” Awards. The award ceremony took place at the José Adolfo Pineda National Gymnasium in San Salvador.

To the most outstanding athletes of 2025, the INDES awarded a vehicle of the year in addition to its award. Additionally, the participating athletes and teams paraded on a red carpet.

The president of INDES and president of the Salvadoran Football Federation, Yamil Bukele, where he recognized the sporting achievements of each athlete present at the gala.

Mixed Team of the Year – Roberto Hernández and Sofía Paiz (Archery)
Men’s Team of the Year- Roberto Hernández, Douglas Nolasco and Miguel Velis (Compound archery)
Women’s Team of the Year- Sofía Paiz, Camila Alvarenga and Paola Corado (Compound archery)
Men’s Team of the Year- Beach Soccer Team
Women’s Team of the Year- artistic swimming selection
Coach of the Year- Orlando Yépez (Skating)
Coach of the Year- Linda Ochoa (Compound Archery)
Male Child Athlete of the Year- Santiago Guevara (Chess)
Female Child Athlete of the Year-Fabiola Serrano (Karate Do)
Disabled Male Athlete of the Year- Hebert Aceituno (Parapowerlighthing)
Disabled Female Athlete of the Year- Rebeca Duarte (Boccia)
Jr Male Athlete of the Year- Christopher Astorga (Taekwondo)
Jr Female Athlete of the Year- Adriana Bermúdez (Athletics)
Female Athlete of the Year (Special Mention): Ivonne Nóchez (Skating) Winner of honorable mention for winning the award for the fourth time
Male Athlete of the Year: Herbert Aceituno (Parapowerlighting)
