The expected premiere of Quinn Hughes in the Minnesota jersey turned out to be excellent. The American defender was able to establish himself as a shooter right away and helped his team win over Boston. But Vancouver isn’t complaining either, as it managed to win in New Jersey and Zeev Buium scored a goal and an assist.
In Minnesota’s opening game, Quinn Hughes lined up on the first defensive pairing alongside Brock Faber, and the pair did very well together. The Wild were the better team against Boston and cruised to a convincing 6-2 win. Hughes himself contributed with one goal, increasing the score to 4:0 at the beginning of the third period.
Vancouver also managed to win in the evening match, which also welcomed new faces to the lineup. The biggest impression was made by Zeev Buium, who scored a goal and an assist in the 2:1 win.
