Kai Havertz has returned to Arsenal team training after a long absence. The German international completed a session with the team on Tuesday for the first time since August.
The joy of the attacking midfielder’s return was evident from a video shared by the Premier League club on social media. It shows how Havertz was greeted euphorically by his teammates.
The Gunners faced Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday evening and won 8-7 on penalties. But this game came too early for Havertz: the German was not part of the squad.
Havertz comeback is getting closer
However, his return to the training field is still positive news – also for the national team with a view to the 2026 World Cup. Havertz played his last international match to date in Hungary in November 2024.
In the current season, the 26-year-old has only played 30 minutes since he underwent a minor surgical procedure due to a knee injury shortly after the start of the new season. He had previously missed large parts of the second half of the previous season.
