Haut-Marne Athletics: Results & Regional Qualifiers

The new formula, put in place by the Aube-Haute-Marne Departmental Committee, smiled on the Haut-Marnais involved in the tournament which took place at Cosec 3, in Troyes, Saturday December 6 and Sunday December 7.

During this weekend in Troyes which brought together no less than 236 badists, 102 of them were members of one of the three Haut-Marne clubs involved: the Chaumont BC (60 registered), the BC Langres (23) and the SLO Bettancourt (19).

Of the 102 Haut-Marnais to have participated in these young and veteran departmental championships, many podiums are worth highlighting. Between the three clubs, there are no less than 23 podiums, or around a quarter of the entrants from Haute-Marne.

Haut-Marnais in the spotlight

Taking a closer look, we find six third places: Clément Schwartz (CBC52) in chick singles; the double Léonard Cordier (CBC52) and Gaston Darbouret (SLO52) in chicks; Lolarose Consigny-Guillemin (BCL52) in junior women’s singles and junior men’s doubles Langrois Alexis Bouillaud and Marceau Demoncy.

Added to this are ten second places: Hadrien Deschamps (SLO52) in minibad; the mixed pair Gaston Darbouret and Emy Matz (SLO52) in chicks; Manon Vollot (CBC52) in junior singles and mixed doubles with Marceau Delfosse (CBC52); the Langres juniors Eliott Bouillaud and Jean Maillefert Collin; Lolarose Consigny-Guillemin (BCL52) and Gabriel Reulier (CEBN) in junior mixed doubles; Anne-Zite Quentin (BCL52) as a female veteran and Benoît Darbouret (SLO52) as a “P10” male veteran.

Finally, seven first places in Haut-Marne are to be noted over the entire weekend. Among the lucky ones, we find many U13s. Marceau Delfosse (CBC52) wins the singles table after his 2e place in mixed doubles with Manon Vollot. The latter, from the same club, won the ladies’ doubles with the big winner of the weekend, Elsa Comte. The Chaumontaise won everything in the junior category: the ladies’ singles (against Manon Vollot), the ladies’ doubles and the mixed doubles alongside Gabin Pesme (PLT10). An unrivaled triumph.

Added to this are the veterans Mickaël Magrini, from the Chaumont badminton club, again, who won in the final of the “P10” singles against Bettancourtois Benoît Darbouret, and Anne-Zite Quentin, from Langres, who triumphs in the ladies’ singles.

A new formula that works

The Haut-Marnais were therefore in the spotlight during these two days at Cosec 3, in Troyes. This figure results from a strong choice of the Aube-Haute-Marne Departmental Committee, which took the decision to bring together both young people and veterans, in particular to “revitalize the veterans table”in decline in recent years, confides Delphine Catalifaud, member of the Committee. Before adding: “We thought it was a good idea because in general, veterans are the parents of the young people registered. This brings everyone together and therefore has more people. »

For the moment, Chaumont BC, the only Haut-Marne club to have obtained departmental titles among young people, has planned to send Elsa Comte, Manon Vollot and Marceau Delfosse to the regionals, in Pont-à-Mousson (Meurthe-et-Moselle), on February 28 and 1is mars.
