Arriving from the Bamako academy “where everything was done to us”, the change in life was radical for Hamari Traoré and the five other young people from the Jean-Marc Guillou academy. “We had to open a bank account, furnish the apartment, cook ourselves, we had never experienced that but we quickly had to take charge,” remembers Hamari who was housed with his Malian and Algerian teammates in two apartments at Porte de Bagnolet (20th arrondissement).
