In a duel between two teams deprived of their biggest basketball stars, the Memphis Grizzlies triumphed over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ja Morant was absent for the Grizzlies in the match 116:110 due to an ankle injury – the hosts had to do without Anthony Edwards, who missed his third consecutive game due to a right foot injury.

The Timberwolves had six players score at least ten points. However, after a tied third quarter (76-76), they lost control of the match and found themselves trailing. Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis in scoring with 28 points.

In the second game of the evening, the Chicago Bulls defeated the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 127 to 111. Coby White (25 points), Josh Giddey (23 points) and Nikola Vucevic (20 points) were the leading scorers for the home team. Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points for the Cavaliers, but it wasn’t enough to prevent his team’s seventh loss in the last ten games.
