ÖBV trainer training 2026

This year the StBV is offering training to become an ÖBV trainer (ÖBV C license). The trainer training (first license level of the badminton trainer training) is aimed at:

  • Trainers in youth and popular sports without specific training,
  • Sports teachers with a deeper interest in badminton
  • …and anyone who is interested in teaching the sport of badminton.

Term:

  • Course block 1: 24 – 25 January 2026
  • Course block 2: February 21 – 22, 2026
  • Course block 3: March 7th or 14th, 2026 (individual)

Exact timetables and lesson plans will be sent after registration closes.

Course location:
BORG Monsberger, Monsbergergasse 16, 8010 Graz

Contents:

  • Theoretical basics (training theory, …)
  • Training methodology for beginners in the youth sector (BWF ShuttleTime)
  • Training methodology in youth and popular sports (basic motor and athletic training, basic running and hitting techniques, basics of single and double tactics, based on the ÖBV’s basic training methodology concept)
  • Trainer skills (group leadership, communication, feeding, …)

Participants must be 16 years of age before completing the course.

The registration deadline is January 14, 2026
If there are insufficient number of participants on this date, the training must be canceled.

The course fee is 125 euros.
