Oklahoma City (United States), 23 December 2025 – The hundredth game in a row in which Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is now increasingly targeting Wilt Chamberlain’s all-time record (126), scored at least 20 points. To be precise I’m 31 (with 11/20 shooting), to which must also be added 10 rebounds and 8 assists, the points scored by the Canadian ace in success of his Oklahoma City Thunder, who defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 119-103: the reigning NBA champions dominated the contest for a long time, closing the first half ahead by 13 points and reaching up to +18 at the start of the fourth quarter, and then resisting the generous comeback attempt by Memphis (supported by six men in double figures), who managed to push up to -4 before finally raising the white flag. Victory also for the top of the class in the East, the Detroit Pistons, who got the better of the Portland Trail Blazers 110-102with Jalen Duren scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and well supported by Ausar Thompson (18 points and 12 rebounds). Despite the final deficit, however, the Pistons took a few too many risks. Up by 21 points in the final straight of the third quarter, in fact, the Pistons suffered a powerful comeback from the Trail Blazers, who even put their head ahead with 4’13” from the end with Camara’s basket. Just when the specter of a sensational slip was materializing, however, the 11-2 run arrived which definitively brought the inertia of the match back into the hands of the Pistons. Instead, there is Steph Curry’s signature on the second consecutive victory of the Golden State Warriors, who defeated the Orlando Magic 120-97 at home: after a rather complicated first half of the match (8 points scored with 3/13 from the field), Curry stepped up in the second half adding another 18 points to his scoreboard (he finished with 26) and together with Jimmy Butler (21 points) and Moses Moody (21), he pushed the Californians towards victory, who accelerated decisively in the final 12′ with a 31-14 partial. Success on velvet also for the Denver Nuggets, who got the better of the Utah Jazz, beating them 135-112: on the shields, for the Colorado franchise, a Jamal Murray with 27 points in as many minutes played (8/16 from the field and 6/12 from three), 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but also Nikola Jokic, who upon his return to the field after two games off brought home yet another triple double (14 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists). The fate of the match was driven by a 19-0 run in the opening minutes, which immediately gave confidence to the Nuggets, who never looked back. Returning to the East, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics did well: the Cavs beat the Charlotte Hornets 139-132 (30 points for Mitchell and 27 for Hunter), while the Celtics won 103-95 over the Indiana Pacers (31 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, for Jaylen Brown). Finally, Zion Williamson’s New Orleans Pelicans (24 points) took home the victory at the expense of the Dallas Mavericks by beating them 119-113.
