German Ruhr International: German Wins in Mülheim | Badminton News

Last week the German Ruhr International took place in Mülheim from December 17th to 20th. At the internationally strong youth tournament, several German players were able to prevail and celebrate three tournament victories for the German Badminton Association.

In the U17 boys’ singles, Lovis Deters was convincing and played his way to winning the tournament with consistently strong performances. There were two further successes in the mixed doubles: Cedric Pascher and Monique Schütt prevailed in the U17 competition, while Linus Emmerich and Maike Iffland won the title for Germany in the U19 competition. In addition, there were numerous podium places for German starters in both the U15 and U17 and U19 categories.

The successes underline the positive development in the German youth sector and once again provided important international competition experience at the end of the year.
