Germán Brunati: New Gimnasia Sports Director Confirmed

With an extensive background in scouting, sports management and comprehensive analysis of training structures, Brunati comes to Lobo with a modern view of football and a deep respect for the identity of the institution.

“My philosophy is clear: first I evaluate, then I decide. I want to know people, value them, help them grow. For me, the most important role that the sports director has is the development of the staff.”

Before taking office, Brunati held meetings with different areas and analyzed the performance of the training categories and the senior staff for months. His arrival does not respond to an improvisation, but to a serious and professional diagnosis.

Among the main axes of its management are:
– Integrate all football categories—First, Reserve, Youth and Children—under the same institutional plan.
– Strengthen the club’s human capital, supporting suitable and committed personnel.
– Build a sustainable model, with references that empower youth.
– Promote a solid infrastructure, with strategic investments in Estancia Chica and Bosquecito.
– Compete better, with staggered goals such as qualifying for the playoffs.

In relation to his vision and what he found, Germán remarked: “Today we have foundations and what we must achieve is to lead Gimnasia to sustained growth. The idea is that it can be sustained over time and to do that it must be gradual.”

Brunati stressed the importance of working as a team, without definitive titles or rulings on players or coaching staffs, always leaving room for evaluation.

“I would like Gimnasia football to be one. We have to work hand in hand and we have the right people to do it. If we think of Gimnasia as a whole, we are going to do much better,” he stated.

The Club celebrates the beginning of a stage based on professionalism, respect and collective construction.

Welcome, Germán. We are going for a Gymnastics that grows from within, with work and conviction.
