The accumulation of bad campaigns means that Newell’s starts 2026 in the lower area of the averages. Not counting the two newly promoted clubs -Gimnasia de Mendoza and Estudiantes de Río Cuarto- Lepra only has three teams below it in the average table: Banfield, Aldosivi and Sarmiento.
