Judo, Associated Wrestling, Table Tennis, Breaking, Athletics, Field Athletics, Baseball 5 and Badminton, are the sports modalities offered

With the aim of promoting physical activation and sports development from an early age, the Tlaxcala Sports Institute (IDET) invites girls, boys, young people and the general public to learn about its offer of Sports Initiation Schools, which are taught free of charge in the High Performance Sports City of Tlaxcala.

Within the sports offer there are disciplines such as judo, athletics, table tennis, associated wrestling, breaking and badminton, as well as track athletics, aimed at different age ranges and with schedules accessible to the population.

The activities take place mainly in Pavilion “A” and in the “Una Nueva Historia” Athletic Track. In the case of table tennis, classes are aimed at people aged 7 to 21, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For its part, breaking is taught to people aged 6 to 25, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As for badminton, it is aimed at participants from 7 to 21 years old, with sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., while baseball 5 is offered to young people from 9 to 23 years old, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Likewise, judo and associated wrestling are available for ages 7 to 23, with training during the week and weekends, while athletics is taught from 8 years old onwards, Monday to Friday, at various evening times.

To be part of these schools, the following requirements are requested: identification of the parent or guardian, official or school identification, medical certificate and CURP. If you are outside the age range, the IDET invites you to go to its offices to receive more information.
