The career of one of today’s best forwards, Robert Lewandowski, is slowly entering its final phase. The experienced Polish ace, who turns 37 in August, spoke openly about the future in a holiday interview on Bogdan Rymanovski’s channel, confirming that he is aware that his playing career is inevitably coming to an end.

During the conversation, he also touched on his own biography, praising the author Sebastian Staszewski, and hinted that after the end of his professional career, another book dedicated to his life and football journey could follow.

Plans until the age of forty

On that occasion, Lewandowski also revealed a rough plan for when he could say goodbye to active playing.

“I’m still an introvert. When I finish my career, I think it will be in two to three years. Then a new book could be created, which would be different, but would contain some interesting elements”said the Barcelona striker.

This statement clearly suggests that Lewandowski plans to play until he is about 40 years old.

Examples like Cristiano Ronaldo, who continues to perform at a high level for Al Nassr, show that this is very possible, especially for players who, like the Poles, pay a lot of attention to physical preparation, nutrition and regeneration.
