The investigation into betting and match-fixing on green fields, carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, continues.
Based on the MASAK reports, bank movements and HTS records examined, an operation was carried out in 17 provinces centered in Istanbul on Friday.
39 suspects, 27 of whom were football players, were taken into custody and were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the Istanbul Police Department.
Criminal judgeship of peace, Emrah Çelik, Yunus Emre Tekoğul, İzzet Furkan Malak, Bartu Kaya, Orkun Özdemir, Kadir Kaan Yurdakul, Faruk Can Genç, Ersen Dikmen, Kerem Yusuf Sirkeci, Emircan Çiçek, Gürhan Sünmez, Mehmet Emin Katipoğlu, Volkan Erten, Şahin Kaya, Ümit Kaya, Murat Sancak, Metehan Baltacı, Mert Hakan Yandaş decided to arrest Ahmet Okatan and Alassane Ndao.
The judgeship decided to impose judicial control measures on Ahmet Abdullah Çakmak, Eren Karadağ, Uğur Adem Gezer, Arda Türken, Muhammed Furkan Özhan, Yusuf Özdemir, Ensar Bilir, Oktay Aydin and Yücel Gürol.
Judicial control measures were taken against the suspects Abdulsamet Burak, Cengiz Demir, Erhan Çelenk, İsmail Kalburcu, Salih Malkoçoğlu, Samet Karabatak, Tolga Kalender, Uğur Kaan Yıldız, Gamze Neli Kaya and the senior class referee Zorbay Küçük.
The detention order against football commentator Ahmet Çakar was lifted due to his illness.
After his treatment was completed, it was decided that he would give his statement to the prosecutor’s office under police supervision.
