Fluminense agreed, this Monday (12/29), to sign defender Jemmes, one of the highlights of the last Brazilian Championship defending Mirassol. The player performed at CT Carlos Castilho, visited the Fluminense FC Museum in Laranjeiras, underwent medical examinations and signed definitively with Tricolor until the end of 2030.
“It’s a unique feeling, I’m very happy. When we’re children we dream of playing for a giant of Brazilian football like Fluminense. So, when I was in negotiations I was really happy and really hoped for it to work out. It’s a dream for me, I really wanted it and thank God I’m here today”, said the player.

Jemmes turned professional at Taquaritinga and played for clubs such as Capivariano, União Suzano, Rio Branco-SP and Athletic-MG before arriving at Vila Nova-GO, the club where he made his professional name. After standing out in the Goiás team, the defender moved to Mirassol, where he was an important player in the campaign that qualified the team for the Libertadores, playing in 37 of the 38 rounds of the last Brasileirão.
“I hope to be able to represent the fans in the best possible way. I can’t wait to be with everyone at Maracanã. I’m really looking forward to getting on the field soon and defending Fluminense”, declared the defender, in an exclusive interview that will soon air in full on FluTV.
