Tricolor took off in the final rounds and won a direct place in the Libertadores group stage
Classified directly to the group stage of the 2026 Libertadores, in 5th place, the Fluminense finished the Brazilian Championship this Sunday with the second best campaign of the return. Tricolor was the second team that scored the most in the second half of the competition, especially after the arrival of coach Luís Zubeldía.
With a 3-3 draw between Flemish and Mirassol last Saturday, Fluminense was only behind Palmeiras with 37 points achieved in 19 games, an advantage of almost 65% of the points. The São Paulo club had the same 37 points, but scored 39 goals compared to Tricolor’s 27. Both had 11 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses.
