A 2018 world champion voted best player of the month for November in Ligue 1. After being rewarded in September, Florian Thauvin once again topped the vote with 47% of the votes. The former Marseille player won this individual prize ahead of Mason Greenwood (41%) and Valentin Rongier (12%).
During the month of November, the Lens number 10 delivered two assists during his team’s 4-1 victory against Monaco. His double in Angers gave victory to Pierre Sage’s team. He was a great architect of this crazy series, five consecutive victories, which took the Lensois to the top of the Ligue 1 standings.
Including his new achievement against Nantes at the beginning of December, Florian Thauvin has been decisive five times in the last four Ligue 1 matches (three goals and two assists). The French international won his fifth Ligue 1 Player of the Month award, tying a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The former Udinese player remains far from the record held by Kylian Mbappé and his eleven awards.
This Sunday, Florian Thauvin and RC Lens host OGC Nice in Bollaert. The Frenchman hopes to shine again to regain the lead in Ligue 1 at PSG.
Each performance will count to be part of Didier Deschamps’ list for the 2026 World Cup. Selected in October and November, Florian Thauvin still hopes to be part of this formidable adventure which he already won in 2018.
