Cruzeiro has been shaking up the transfer market at the end of the year. THE Itatiaia it was discovered this Sunday (28) that the celestial club received a proposal from Flamengo for striker Kaio Jorge, top scorer in the Brazilian Championship. The figures are around 30 million euros, the equivalent of R$195 million.
A Itatiaia contacted internal sources at Cruzeiro, who described the offer as an “affront”. Still during the conversation, the source stated that Kaio Jorge will not be sold to another club in Brazil even if the proposal is “40, 50 or 60 million euros”.
The information about Flamengo’s interest in Kaio Jorge was initially published by ESPN, and the Itatiaia progressed in the investigations with Cruzeiro’s position.
Conflict between Cruzeiro and Flamengo in the market
Cruzeiro is already experiencing ‘conflict’ with Flamengo in this transfer window. This is because the Rio de Janeiro board negotiated Raposa for defender Vitão. The celestial club was very close to signing the defender and had already agreed terms with the player’s representatives.
However, everything came crashing down when Flamengo arrived with a more financially advantageous proposal to Internacional. The Rio club offered a million-dollar sum plus debt relief for midfielder Thiago Maia. Inter accepted the offer, leaving Vitão to study the proposal and decide whether he wants to play in Rio de Janeiro.

The number 19 had a great season in 2025 with the celestial shirt and is looking to repeat his feats in 2026. He was the top scorer in Series A of the Brazilian Championship, with 21 goals, and top scorer in the Copa do Brasil, with five balls in the net.
