Flamengo ends the 2025 season with impressive results off the field as well. The budget approved by the club provided for a collection of 35 million euros (R$228 million) with the sale of players throughout the year, but the consistent sporting performance and the appreciation of the squad allowed the board to exceed this objective by a wide margin. With the negotiation of Juninho, the club achieved R$545 million raised in athlete departures, consolidating one of the highest sales volumes in its recent history.
Despite being completed last week, the player’s sale to Pumas, from Mexico, will not be included in the 2025 budget. The agreement provides for payment in installments, which means that the amounts will only enter the red-and-black coffers from 2026 onwards. The Mexican club has committed to paying 5 million euros (R$32.3 million) for the attacker, an amount that is already guaranteed contractually, but which will remain until the next financial year.
Significant sales
Juninho was the sixth player traded by Flamengo in 2025in a continuous movement to reformulate and enhance the cast. Before him, the club had already sold Fabrício Bruno, Wesley, Alcaraz, Gerson and Matheus Gonçalvesall with a direct impact on cash. Together, these six negotiations yielded 85 million euros (R$545.6 million)a number much higher than that initially projected by the board at the beginning of the season.
In addition to permanent transfers, Flamengo also obtained income from temporary negotiations. The young man’s loan Lorran to Pisafrom Italy, yielded 500 thousand euros (R$ 3.1 million) immediate. The contract also provides purchase obligation at the end of the contractin June of next year, worth 4 million euros (R$ 26.2 million)which could further increase red-black revenue in the medium term.

Financial balance
The board’s goal for 2025 was clear: sell more than hiremaintaining sporting competitiveness without compromising finances. In absolute numbers, Flamengo made seven signings and six sales, one of which, Juninho, also appears on the list of reinforcements for the season — he was even the first player announced during Luiz Eduardo Baptista’s management. Even so, the financial balance was largely favorable.
