This year, the French Badminton Federation set up a national challenge in 3 of the 4 ambassador cities with the help of affiliated clubs.

On Saturday, over a period of 4 hours, the objective was to enter 3,637 shuttlecocks into a giant target in reference to 3637, the number to dial to transmit a pledge of donations. With a donation of €1, participants had 10 shuttlecocks to try to put as many as possible into the target.

Badminton Sucéen, Badminton Carentant and Badminton Club Pélissannais have therefore mobilized to meet this challenge. A real challenge has arisen between the cities around this common objective.

In total, for Pélisanne, there were ultimately 1,744 validated shuttlecocks, 1,331 shuttlecocks for Carentan-le-Marais and 978 shuttlecocks for Sucé-sur-Erdre: 4,053 validated shuttlecocks and therefore a target that was largely exceeded!

To close these two days, dedicated to the Telethon, a live broadcast on France TV was carried out from the town of Sucé-sur-Erdre with a presentation of the FFBaD challenge. Mourad AMRANI (national para-badminton coach) and Cynthia MATHEZ (Swiss player, vice-world champion in women’s singles WH1 para-badminton in 2022) were present for this live broadcast of the “3,637th shuttlecock entering the target”.
