It was one of the most anticipated moments of this last Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season, and Max Verstappen made no mistake after starting from pole. Second on the grid in Abu Dhabi and leader of the standings, Lando Norris has already been overtaken by his partner Oscar Piastri who chose to take an aggressive start.
If he wants to be crowned at the end of the race, the Red Bull driver must finish on the podium and hope for a sufficient misstep from Norris, current leader of the standings.
If successful in Abu Dhabi, the Dutchman is not even guaranteed to finish champion for the 5th time. For this, the leading Briton will need to finish no better than 4th.
