Charleroi is over the moon after its victory in Anderlecht. Etienne Camara presented himself with a broad smile in the interview.
After two shares which felt like too little, Charleroi did it. The Zebras won in Anderlecht, thus confirming their revival under the orders of Hans Cornelis. Etienne Camara showed the way forward by opening the scoring after 12 minutes.
His celebration did not please Anderlecht supporters. Antoine Bernieralthough a former Neerpede player, paid for him by receiving a cup thrown from the stands. The meeting was thus interrupted for a few minutes.
Nothing premeditated
Camara denies having provoked Lotto Park: “Our kop was the opposite. I couldn’t do a 90-meter race,” he explains in a post-match interview. It must be said that the joy was intense: the Frenchman had never scored before in his professional career.
“There’s a lot of pride. I saw that there was space behind the defense and I know the quality of Patrick (Pflücke’s) passing. Afterwards, I had the feeling.” A feeling which launched Charleroi, before Perfect Guiagon made the break three minutes later.

Arrived from Udinese two years ago, Etienne Camara has gained in importance since the departure of Adem Zagence. By simplifying his game, the former French U20 international will in turn become a centerpiece of the Zebras.
