ESK Duo Loaned to Hockeyallsvenskan Teams

Enköping is loaning both forward Gustav Meijer and defender Leon Okonkwo Prada to the Hockey Allsvenskan for games in the coming days. The ESK will play with Almtuna and Västerås, respectively, starting already tonight.

Gustav Meijer was recently recruited from Östersund in the Hockeyallsvenskan and now it is clear that he is loaned to Almtuna for their next two matches in the allsvenskan, against Modo and and Västerås.

— It is thanks to a fine collaboration with Almtuna that we are now loaning Gustav for two matches this week, but of course he will still play our two matches this week against Surahammar, says Christian Nordenberg, spokesperson for ESK’s sports council.

Since before, ESK has, among other things, the junior Oliver Magnusson on loan from Almtuna.

After that, it also became clear that Västerås IK is borrowing ESK defender Leon Okonkwo Prada for tonight’s home match against Kalmar HC. Here, too, it is in good cooperation with Västerås, where ESK has already had access to WC goalkeeper Benedikt Oschgan.

Even in Leon’s case, he is playable for ESK already on Sunday against Surahammar.

The two Allsvenskan teams suffer from both illnesses and the loss of players to the Junior WC.

ESK plays tomorrow, Sunday, away against Surahammar and then on Tuesday receives Surahammar at home in Bahcohallen. Two “back-to-back matches” that are important for ESK if they want to hang on in the fight for the coveted playoff spots in Hockeyettan Norra.
