Erick Green, new acquisition of Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù, was presented to the press. The American guard made his first statements as a Cantù player during a conference in the presence of president Allievi, coach Brienza and GM Santoro.
Before the official presentation the presidents of Cantù Arena e Cantù Next Antonio Munafo e SErgio Paparelli shared the following message:
“We take this opportunity to anticipate some topics that will be explored in depth in a dedicated meeting at the beginning of next year, in which we will present the 2026-29 industrial plan of Cantù Next and Pallacanestro Cantù in a complete and detailed manner. In recent months we have worked with great attention to give stability and continuity to the Company, thinking not only of today but of a medium-long term project. The return to Serie A has not only represented a leap in sporting terms, but also an important step from the from an organizational and management point of view. Serie A requires adequate structures, skills and processes at a higher level, and this makes intervention in this area necessary too.
For this reason, Cantù Next has decided to strengthen its assets with the aim of becoming the reference partner of Pallacanestro Cantù and accompanying the club in a new phase of growth.
At the same time, Pallacanestro Cantù will launch its own capital increase, entirely subscribed by Cantù Next, precisely to strengthen the company and create the right conditions to face the challenges of Serie A with a more modern and professional structure.
This intervention looks to the future: it means investing in the organisation, people and programming, preparing ourselves to start a new path in the new Arena, which will represent a fundamental step in the sporting and industrial growth of the Club, and building, step by step, a company capable of being competitive in Italy and, over time, also in Europe.
We want to tell the fans that this is a serious, responsible and long-term project. We don’t promise shortcuts, but commitment, work and respect for the history and values of Pallacanestro Cantù”.
