It has now been a decades-long tradition in Atella and Stefano and Salvatore Summa do the honors for those who want to show off perfect synchrony with their trusty horses for a slow tourism walk, archery or hippotherapy. And so it was for the feast of the Immaculate Conception in the Piani di Carda district, which Armando Lostaglio tells us about. The ten-year tradition of celebrating the various activities carried out during the year, in the name of equestrian tourism and youth aggregation, is renewed on 8 December, Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The sporting sense and respect for nature remain the basic prerogatives that characterize the many activities at Valle dei Cavalli in Contrada Piani di Carda, where Salvatore and Stefano Summa work to constantly transmit a healthy equestrian culture, not separated from ethics of environmental protection. This perspective characterizes the directives of Gean National Environmental Equestrian Guards, which is based in Valle dei Cavalli, whose president Salvatore Summa persists in the work of transmitting to many other regional municipalities the good practices of hippotherapy and slow tourism, equestrian activities of archery on horseback, of which Stefano Summa is an international champion. The young man recently returned with equestrian competitions in Sassari where the very young Rebecca Colangelo from Possidente (Pz) won first prize in horseback archery.
