Barcelona won 2-0 at home Guadalajara. This victory brought El Barca to the last 16 King’s Cup.
Guadalajara vs Barcelona in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey took place at Estadio Pedro Escartin, Wednesday (17/12/2025). El Barca is far superior in quality to players from Guadalajara who play in the third caste of the Spanish League.
Even so, home year dared to keep up with Barcelona at the start of the match. Manu Ramirez tried to threaten Barcelona’s goal in the fourth minute with a long-range shot. Ramirez’s shot was still saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barcelona slowly began to control the game. Fermin Lopez had a chance in the 11th minute but his shot still didn’t reach the target.
El Barca was dominant but had difficulty penetrating the host’s back line. Guadalajara piled on a lot of play on the line to reduce the visitors.
In the final minutes of the first half, Eric Garcia threatened when he headed home Lamine Yamal’s ball. Guadalajara goalkeeper Dani Vicente was still able to block Garcia’s header.
Guadalajara was able to withstand Barcelona’s attack until halftime. Score 0-0 closed the first half.
After the break, Barcelona immediately attacked. Marcus Rashford escapes the offside trap. Vicente acted to block Rashford’s kick with his foot.
Vicente made another similar save in the 57th minute. He once again blocked Rashford’s shot which met Garcia’s cross.
Continuing to attack, Barcelona finally broke the deadlock in the 75th minute. Andre Christensen can head the ball from a cross.
His header hit the Guadalajara defender. The ball turned towards the goal and tricked Vicente.
Guadalajara had a golden opportunity to equalize. Salifo Caropitche who was free from escort. took a hard kick. Ter Stegen made a brilliant save by flying to ward off the ball.
In the 89th minute, Barcelona doubled their lead. Rashford can outwit Vicente.
He is in a difficult position to shoot. However, the English player was able to kick into the goal from a narrow angle.
Barcelona won 2-0. This result brought Hansi Flick’s troops to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.
