Earn Points: Content Writer Opportunity

One of the ways to erase 4 points from your driver’s card is to be without points for a whole year (until 23:59 on the last day) since committing the last point. This is quite tedious, but there is a solution.

At accredited traffic centers, or polygons, you can enroll in an official course for six to ten thousand crowns, the result of which after successful completion (usually it is not automatic, you have to prove knowledge and control of the vehicle) is a certificate, based on which and the submitted application, the authority will deduct 4 penalty points from you.

You can apply for the course once per calendar year, which means that now in December 2025 you have the last chance for this year’s deduction. Attention, as soon as the cork explosions are announced in January 2026, you can immediately start another course, after successful completion of which you will again receive a confirmation used to deduct another 4 points.

You can deduct points once per calendar year. The price then ranges from six to approximately ten thousand crowns.

In a short period of time, you have the opportunity to deduct 8 points straight away. But then again, not everyone can take the points course. If you have more than 10 penalty points (yes, 11, your driver’s license will be confiscated for 12 points), a revoked driver’s license or a driving ban, or an active (uncleared) six-point offense or a historical seven-point offense, this course will not result in a deduction of points.

Especially with six-point and seven-point offenses, be careful, once you have them on your driver’s card, you must completely “clean” your card completely to zero points for years without points offenses, otherwise you will not get rid of the active (6b., 7b.) offense.

Do I pay and do I get an automatic deduction? Usually no, you have to prove your knowledge and skills.

Another recommendation is that you arrive with a technically compliant vehicle. If you arrive in a wreck, the accredited lecturer can theoretically exclude you from the course for violating the terms and conditions and you are without a deduction.

It is worth recalling that since 2024, when the points system was changed, the number of graduates of courses for deduction has risen sharply. However, the full-day courses are not a reward, but rather a punishment with a really comprehensive theory and training practical part.
