Last weekend the last Premier League match of 2025 was scheduled in The Hague. Dunlop DKC took on the always strong Duinwijck at home.
The start was flying. Michiel Kruijt and Gijs Duijs left no stone unturned in the men’s doubles. With convincing numbers (21-15, 21-9) they set the tone and brought in the first point for Dunlop DKC.
Debut in the Eredivisie There was a special moment for Nagasharan Podala Vengatesh. He made his official debut for Dunlop DKC in the second men’s singles match. Although his opponent Adith Karthikeyan Priya was a bit too big this time, the first flying hours at the highest level have been completed. A great milestone for Nagasharan and an experience that leaves you wanting more!
Jaymie provided a spectacle in the women’s singles. She lost the first game to Florine Wille, but fought back well. With hard work and smart play, she still won in three games: 16-21, 21-10 and 21-15. A wonderful comeback that the audience enjoyed.
There was also success in mixed doubles. The duo of Gijs Duijs and Jaymie Laurens proved superior in the GD and won solidly in two games. Unfortunately, Duinwijck proved to be just a little too strong in the other games, despite brave defense from Chloe Tsai (who played an exciting three-setter), among others.
It’s a shame about the loss, but we look back positively with three points and a nice debut. On to the next match!
