DSC Defeats EV Füssen – Game Recap

Deggendorfer SC celebrated their second win of the weekend on Sunday evening. In front of 1,664 spectators in the Hitzkopf Arena, head coach Casey Fratkin’s team shot EV Füssen out of the stadium 14-1.

In the duel with the Ostallgäu team, the Deggendorf head coach was able to rely on almost the same squad as on Friday in Peiting. Only defender Viktor Skorohodov played for the U20 team in the afternoon and was not part of the game.

The DSC came out of the dressing room like the fire brigade: Less than four minutes had been played before Harrison Roy put the Deggendorfers ahead 1-0. When Ty Jackson scored on a pass from his brother Dylan to make it 2-0 in the ninth minute, it was the starting signal for a real series of goals. Ondrej Pozivil and Curtis Leinweber scored a double in the tenth minute to make it 4-0 and then the Füssen team fell apart completely. Lars Berger (13th), Marco Baßler (14th), Dylan Jackson (15th) and Dante Hahn (19th) made the score 8-0 before the first break.

The lively goal-scoring continued in the second half. Marco Baßler scored in the power play in the 23rd minute to make it 9-0. It reached double digits three minutes later. Once again in a power play, Harrison Roy scored Deggendorf’s tenth goal of the evening. Niklas Pill made it 11-0 in the 37th minute with his fourth goal of the weekend, before Füssen’s Simon Boyko scored the consolation goal just nine seconds later.

In the final third, the Deggendorf team increased the result even further. Harrison Roy completed his hat trick in the 46th minute before Viktor Buchner (53rd) and Stloukal (54th) made the final score 14-1.

The Fratkin team continues next Friday with their next home game. The onesto Tigers Bayreuth will be guests at the Greilinger Night at 8 p.m.
