Dolphins Week 17 TD Scorer Prop: Best Bet

Dec. 27, 2025, 2:37 pm ET

In his first career NFL start, Quinn Ewers didn’t throw a touchdown pass. The Miami Dolphins did manage to score three touchdowns (all rushes) in a blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengalsthough.

So what did we learn about Ewers’ tendencies in that loss?

About half of his passes went to receivers and the other half went to running backs and tight ends. Jaylen Waddle led the way with nine targets, followed by five for Darren Waller.

So who has the best chance at scoring Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Here’s our pick for an anytime Dolphins touchdown scorer:

Jaylen Wright anytime TD: +700

While Ewers is likely to target Waddle often, it’s the Dolphins run game that should be most enticing for bettors. Even in a blowout loss, Miami asked the rookie to throw 30 times and ran the ball 28 times.

After spending much of the season as a healthy scratch, Wright has seen his role in the Dolphins offense increase in recent weeks while Ollie Gordon’s has gone the opposite direction.

Wright was one of Miami’s three touchdown scorers last week and has crossed the goal line twice in the Dolphins’ last three games.

While the Dolphins’ offense will undoubtedly revolve around De’Von Achane as usual, Wright’s share of touches is too big for him to be such a long shot to score. He’s a worthwhile roll of the dice for an offense that needs to spend its last two games evaluating what it has heading into 2026 and beyond.
