The published ranking of “prize money” for the past year confirmed the absolute dominance of two young stars – Alcaraz and the Italian Jannik Sinner, who won more than 19 million dollars.
Alcaraz’s seasonal earnings are also the second highest in ATP history, only Novak Djokovic earned more money in one year in 2015.
Alcaraz has already earned more than $60 million in tournament earnings during his career, placing him 6th in the all-time list.
More money “tinkled” into the account thanks to the performances of only the quintet of Andy Murray, Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The king of “prize money” is the aforementioned Djokovic, who earned 191,252,375 dollars during his career, roughly 56 million more than the second-ranked Nadal.
