Leonine central appointed to Paris Saint-Germain and with indicated value and everything. But at the price announced in France, no one can take it. Renovation discussed but with ‘agreement’ for possible exit in the summer
Ousmane Diomande was placed on the Paris Saint-Germain route this weekend. Several French media reported the French and European champion’s interest in Sporting’s 22-year-old central defender, even pointing out a value that the club will have to advance for the number 26 of the green and whites: 45 million euros. But at that price, BOLA knows, any proposal will hit the goalpost. This and any other that does not reach the termination clause of 80 million euros.
Diomande is a reference in Sporting’s defense, central to the right of the starting duo with Gonçalo Inácio and has long aroused desire for Europe abroad. In the summer, Crystal Palace came close to signing him for 55 million euros, now there is interest from PSG. Sporting does not want to let him leave the transfer market in this winter window.

The Leonine intention is for the Ivorian to remain as the leader of the defense and has already planned a renewal for another three years, from 2027 to 2030. The formalization should take place when the central defender returns from the African Cup of Nations (CAN), where he is playing for the Ivory Coast team.
The defender, however, knows that in the summer he may have the opportunity to make the leap to a major league, one of the big-5, and that is why in this agreement to extend the contract it was stipulated that upon arrival of a proposal for values in the region of 40 million euros, the exit will not be made difficult.
Remember that it was in 2023 and at a time when he was on loan to Mafra, from League 2, that Sporting paid Midtjylland €7.5 million for the transfer of a player who, in the end, became €7 million more expensive, that is, it started to cost a total of €14.5 million, because for each set of 30 games (at least 45 minutes on the field), the lions paid a portion (1.66 million) of a possible €5 million, precisely up to 90 games, which were played in the Super Cup, in July. And even more recently, the Lions carried out a €2 million operation to activate an option to reduce from 20 to 10 percent the percentage of the added value that the Danes will be entitled to receive in a future transfer.
Ousmane Diomande, like Geny Catamo for Mozambique, is currently in Morocco playing CAN. And both the defender and the winger, who have already faced each other in Group F of the competition — Côte d’Ivoire’s 1-0 victory — have already guaranteed passage to the round of 16.
It remains to be seen in which positions to know whether they will play on the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th of January, with their presence in the semi-final of the League Cup at risk — it takes place on the 6th of January in Leiria and Sporting will face Vitória de Guimarães; the final will be played on the 10th.
