“In the new year, after Melbourne, Jihlava will be the second city that will be closely watched by domestic tennis fans. The advantage of the upcoming Davis Cup match is that everyone from the whole country will be equally close to the match, so even according to the preliminary response, we expect a full arena. We are all looking forward to the match in the new hall and thank you for the enthusiasm and support with which we are welcomed in Jihlava and how the preparations have been going on so far,” said the chairman of the Czech Tennis Association, Jakub Kotrba, before the match.

Jihlava will become a new place on the Czech map, where the Davis Cup team will present itself. “I’m looking forward to a new experience. I played the Davis Cup at home in Ostrava, Brno, Liberec and of course Prague, so I am curious about new experiences from the Highlands. I am pleased with the preliminary interest in the match in the new hall, it appears that the choice of a new venue in the middle of the country should ensure great spectator support, which our team deserves.” said team captain Tomáš Berdych before the match with Jihlava.

“The Davis Cup is one of the most prestigious tennis competitions in the world, and we are proud that Jihlava will become its venue. For the city, it is not only a major sporting event, but also a great opportunity to present the city and the new Horácká Arena to fans from all over the country. I believe that Jihlava will create a great atmosphere for the Czech team and that the spectators will take away great experiences from us,” said the mayor of Jihlava, Petr Ryška.

The nomination for the match will be presented by the captain of the Czech team on Monday, January 5, 2026 in the afternoon during a press conference at the town hall in Jihlava. ZTP daily tickets will be on sale for 445 crowns, accompanying persons have free entry. Children under the age of three will have free entry, without the right to a seat.
