The Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL) ranked first in global sports team valuation for 10 consecutive years.
According to the 2025 valuation of sports teams around the world announced by Forbes, an American economic magazine, on the 20th, NFL Dallas ranked first with a value of $13 billion (approximately 19.2 trillion won). As a result, NFL Dallas has maintained first place in Forbes’ sports team valuation ranking for 10 consecutive years since 2016.
Last year, the team’s value was estimated at $10.1 billion, and in one year it increased by $2.9 billion, or 4.2 trillion won in Korean money.
Second place was the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA), which was valued at $11 billion. In the 2024 ranking, only NFL Dallas was recognized as being worth more than $10 billion, but this year, five teams were valued at more than $10 billion, including 2nd place Golden State, 3rd place NFL Los Angeles (LA) Rams ($10.5 billion), 4th place NFL New York Giants ($10.1 billion), and 5th place NBA LA Lakers ($10 billion).
Last year’s ranking included six NFL teams, three NBA teams, and one Major League Baseball (MLB) team in the top 10, and this year, among the 11 teams tied for 10th place, there were seven NFL teams, three NBA teams, and one MLB team. Among MLB teams, the New York Yankees are valued at $8.2 billion, ranking tied for 10th place.

Among teams with connections other than the United States, Spanish professional soccer team Real Madrid was valued at $6.75 billion and ranked 20th. It is also the highest ranked soccer team.
In sports other than American football, basketball, baseball, and soccer, Ferrari of Formula One (F1) ranked highest with $6.5 billion, tied for 26th place. Looking at the distribution of teams by sport in the top 50, NFL teams were the most with 30, followed by NBA teams with 12.
Soccer ranked in the top 50 with 4 teams, and baseball and F1 teams ranked 2 each. The average value of teams by sport was $7.1 billion for NFL teams, $5.4 billion for NBA teams, $3.1 billion for European soccer teams, and $2.6 billion for MLB teams.
