Quarterback Dak Prescott said he does not want to miss the Cowboys’ final two games of the season.
FRISCO, Texas — While Dallas Cowboys close a disappointing 2025 season knowing that they will be left out of the playoffs with two games left, Dak Prescott has a certainty.
“We will not be in this situation again,” he said. Prescott this Tuesday, while the Cowboyswith a record of 6-8-1, are preparing for their game against the Washington Commanders on Christmas.
“I feel like the last times I said that were after playoff losses,” he said. Prescott. “Every year has its own problems. Every year has its own ups and downs, its ups and downs and everything that goes with it. The important thing is to control what you can control… I’m going to do everything I can, controlling what I can, and as you get older, I think having more influence, having more say and having the management ask you more questions. Maybe there’s a little more I can do, and it’s not about physicality or improving my game. Maybe it’s about speaking up and saying this will help or I think that this can help. Whatever it takes, once again, I’m going to do everything I can and make sure I influence and encourage everyone around me, not just the players, to do the same.”
Prescott He has no desire to miss the last two games. He didn’t even let a reporter finish the question about the possibility of not playing.
“Absolutely not, especially in Christmas“, said.

“Particularly now, going into this game, having the opportunity to play on the day of Christmasfor the first time, and also the fact of being away from my family,” he added. “I don’t want to be away from my family if I’m not going to be able to play this game and do something I love at a high level (and) finish a good individual season, I guess you could say, strongly… Fifteen games played, I want to reach 17.”
Prescott He was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday for the fourth time in his career. He has thrown for 4,175 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
“My success, that recognition, I share 100% with each and every one of the boys who are in there,” he concluded. Prescott referring to the costumes. “It’s great to be selected for the Pro Bowl, but at the end of the day, that’s not what we’re looking for.”
