Spartak arrived in Dunajská Streda without several key players. Striker Ďuriš was absent due to punishment, and he received a three-game suspension from the disciplinarian for the expulsion in Podbrezová.
Nwadike, Moiscrapišvili, Procházka or Ujlaky were not available due to injuries. Azango and Badolo were also missing from the roster.
Trnava coach Škrtel chose the same line-up that won against Komárno and in Podbrezová. The Angels started again in a 3-4-1-2 formation. The most significant losses for DAC were the absent Redzič and Dukanovič.

On the day of the match, the main referee changed unplanned, the duel was led by Ivan Kružliak instead of Michal Očenáš, who ended up using the VAR for health reasons.

Spartak had the first big chance, in the 6th minute Taiwo Chorcheli tapped from the center into the penalty area, who hit a shot on the ground from about seven meters close to the goal.
On the opposite side, Modesto broke into the box, Frelih knocked out his cross.
In the 13th minute, Ramadan kicked a direct kick from the left side, goalkeeper Frelih’s attempt to box out the ball failed and he pushed the ball into the net through Twardzik Sylla on the goal line. In the end, the arbitrators attributed the goal to the Trnava defender.
The second goal was also scored after a set piece. In the 20th minute, Gruber kicked a corner, after the center in the scrum, Ramadan seized the ball and did not give Frelih a chance from close range – 2:0.
Offensive football was played, Taiwo could have brought Trnava back into the game, but he shot wide from ten meters. Mikovič’s curler ended up on the crossbar.
But the end of the first act belonged to the home team. Frelih saved Gruber with two unpleasant shots. In the third, the Austrian hit from the edge of the penalty area into the side net. The Trnava goalkeeper had to go to the ground even after Kapanadze’s poison.
Spartak started the second half with only a cosmetic change, when Škrbo and Mikovič switched sides in the midfield, but continued the first half and were penalized in the 47th minute.
Kratochvíl sewed up Stojsavljevic with a back pass, to whom Gagua poked the ball, Ramadan escaped, Frelih kicked the end of it with his foot, but the catching Sylla fired the ball into the net – 3:0.
The Oura bomb was also asked into the net, but Frelih shined again. This was followed by a corner and a header by the uncovered stopper Nemanič, again the man of the moment on the line was Frelih.
Kudliček tried to raise Spartak’s battle flag. A little later, Taiwo headed dangerously, Popovič again held the hosts back.
The reaction from the Trnava bench came in the 62nd minute, fresh Koštrna, Gong and Metsoko came to the field. Twardzik, Chorcheli and Taiwo finished. Shortly after that, the injured Mikovič was replaced by Jureškin.
Spartak switched to a 4-3-3 formation and tried to turn it around. In the 79th minute, he kicked a penalty kick ordered for Nemanič Sabo’s hand and narrowly reduced the score to 3:1.
The contact goal could have been scored by substitute Paur, without preparation he hit directly into the area where Popovič was prepared.
At the end of the match, after the fight between Koštrno and Ramadan in front of the Trnava substitute, there was a mass fight on the pitch, after which four yellow cards and two red cards were issued, which were seen by the home team Kačarab and the visiting team Stojsavljevič. But nothing has changed in the result.
After Saturday’s losses of Slovan in Košice and Žilina at home against Ružomberok, Spartak did not take advantage of the chance to reach the top of the table. He remains fourth, on the contrary, Dunajská Streda jumped him, which moved to second place.
In the final autumn round, the Angels will welcome Skalica, the game will be played on Saturday, December 13 at 3:30 p.m.

Martin Škrtel, coach of Spartak: “We knew that it was not going to be an easy match, but we are sorry that we literally gave away goals to the home team. We conceded twice from set pieces that could have been solved better and the third goal after an easy loss. Overall, with our carelessness and worse attitude, we gave the home team opportunities for dangerous situations. We can play better, unfortunately, today there were weaker individual performances and there were more hesitations. At 0:3, it is difficult to play against the home team, who have quality. We managed to score a goal, but the end of the duel was already torn apart, there was a skirmish and we didn’t get anywhere.”

It was a very difficult match, against an excellent opponent, the duel had its own parameters, it had goals, emotions, the crowd, everything. The audience got their way, we scored two goals in the 20th minute. I’m glad that we finally scored from set pieces, we had a few good situations when we could have rebounded even more. Trnava also created opportunities, but goalkeeper Popovič We appreciate the victory, and the fans were excellent.
