“I am very happy that it is in Český Těšín that we can give this Christmas present to children in the form of a second pitch, which was built as part of the FIFA Arena project,” said the head of Czech football.
“The aim of the project is to build a total of 100 pitches throughout the Czech Republic, which will serve the general public,” explained Trunda of the intention of the initiative, which aims to bring football back to the streets and everyday life.
Český Těšín is an ideal place for this concept. The FIFA Arena grew up in close proximity to the Hrabina Elementary School campus and the adjacent housing estate, which makes it easily accessible to children from the neighborhood and other residents of the city.

“We want football, and sport in general, to be a natural part of children’s daily lives. It is not just about physical activity itself, but above all about the long-term development of key values, such as teamwork, responsibility or the joy of personal development,” added the chairman of FAČR.
The first FIFA Arena in the Czech Republic was established in Mladá Boleslav. The project is part of FIFA’s global development initiative, the goal of which is to build publicly accessible sports grounds and systematically support the movement of children and youth.
“The pitches are conceived as an open space for unorganized sports and everyday movement in local communities,” states the Football Association of the Czech Republic on its website.
