Cade Cunningham had another outstanding performance for the Detroit Pistons, who lead the NBA Eastern Conference.
Cade Cunningham scored 32 points and the Detroit Pistons beat the Boston Celtics 112-105 last night, extending their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference.
The Pistons point guard turned in another brilliant offensive performance in a closely contested game in which the score changed hands 15 times before Detroit pulled away in the final minutes.
Cunningham, who averages nearly 27 points per game this season, hit six 3-pointers and made 11 of 21 field goals to help Detroit reach an East-leading record of 21 wins and 5 losses.
But Detroit had to do its best to achieve its fourth consecutive victory due to a tenacious performance by Boston, which had a lead of up to 12 points in the second quarter.
Detroit’s starters were supported by 47 points from the bench, with Caris LeVert contributing 13 points in 19 minutes on the court and Jaden Ivey adding 10.
Jaylen Brown led Boston with 34 points, while Derrick White finished with 31.
