Conmebol announced the ideal team of the Copa Libertadores 2025and among the great outstanding figures there appears a single Uruguayan representative: Giorgian de Arrascaetaalso chosen the best player in the entire competitioncrowning an exceptional year with Flamengo.
In an eleven dominated by players from Mengão and key players from Palmeiras and Racing, the light blue once again demonstrated why he is one of the most decisive talents on the continent.
The chosen team includes Agustín Rossi in the arch; a line of three with Gustavo Gomez, Danilo y Leo Pereira; a midfield made up of Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Erick Pulgar, Santiago Sosa y Juan Carrascal; and an offensive trident composed of Joaquin Lopez, Adrian Martinez y Pedro.
But among all of them, the great mention once again goes to the Uruguayan. The organization highlighted that Arrascaeta was the most influential footballer of the tournamentnot only by numbers, but by his ability to tip the scales in each head-to-head series.
For Uruguayan football, his presence in the ideal eleven also marks a significant fact: He is the only light blue footballer to be on the rosterreaffirming its status as a reference and its validity at the highest level.
