Colin Coosemans still has a contract with RSC Anderlecht until June 2027. And so the future of the 33-year-old goalkeeper must gradually be considered. Will he stay with purple and white longer or will he opt for a different adventure next summer?
What about the future of Colin Coosemans at Anderlecht?
Will Coosemans sign a new contract in 2026 that corresponds to his status as number one of Anderlecht? According to the goalkeeper himself, that is a very difficult question, as he indicated in Het Laatste Nieuws on Saturday.
“I am convinced that I still have many good years ahead of me. (grins) I took a few years of ‘leave’. This gave me plenty of time to fully recover from minor aches and pains,” says Colin Coosemans.
Coosemans wants to feel respect
“I still have a lot left in the tank. I would like to spend those years at Anderlecht, but it is up to the club to take steps. Steps that show that they really want to continue with me,” he mainly looks at the board.

According to the goalkeeper, it is up to the Purple & White to show that they would also like Coosemans to join them in the coming years. Only then will there be a contract extension, otherwise a transfer cannot be ruled out.
