SK Rapid ends the European Cup season with a draw.
On the sixth and final matchday of the UEFA Conference League league phase, the Hütteldorfer team drew 1-1 away to HSK Zrinjski Mostar.
As a result, Rapid still gets a point after five defeats. Nevertheless, the Hütteldorfers finished the Conference League in 36th place and therefore last.
Rapid takes the lead
Mostar has a great chance in the first minute. After Rapid lost the ball, the Bosnians quickly switched and brought the ball to striker Bilbija. However, he failed in the penalty area due to a strong save from Niklas Hedl.
Rapid then found its way into the game and took the lead in the eleventh minute. Louis Schaub scores with a beautiful header after a cross from Furkan Demir to make it 1-0.
But Rapid didn’t do much with the lead in the first half. Mostar always has good chances, but Niklas Hedl can stand out with strong saves.
Equalizer in stoppage time
Mostar also started the second half more actively. In the 58th minute, the Bosnian strikers narrowly missed the ball after a cross and thus the equalizer.
As the game progressed, the Bosnians began to feel a little desperate, which meant that Rapid was more able to break free from behind.
But Mostar was able to equalize in stoppage time. After a cross from the right, substitute Cvetkovic slides the ball into his own goal (90th + 3rd).
