In various European media, Stole Dimitrievski’s name is associated with Club Brugge. The Valencia goalkeeper seems to be open to a winter transfer and several clubs are closely monitoring his situation.
Interest from multiple competitions
Dimitrievski recently celebrated his 32nd birthday, but spent the day mainly following up on calls about his sporting future. He realizes that his chances of a starting place at Valencia are limited by the presence of Julen Agirrezabala. As a result, he is considering leaving during the winter mercato.
His entourage is now listening to concrete proposals. The market for goalkeepers is small, but Dimitrievski enjoys a solid reputation at European level, which has prompted several clubs to investigate his file.
Club Brugge is following the developments
According to information from the Spanish newspaper AS, three clubs are showing particular interest: Bournemouth from the Premier League, Genoa from Serie A and Club Brugge. They are monitoring the situation because Valencia seems willing to cooperate in a solution.
Dimitrievski’s contract expires in June. A January transfer would allow Valencia to free up wage space, especially with Cristian Rivero available to take over as reserve goalkeeper. That makes a departure financially and sportingly feasible.
Limited playing time and sporting arguments
Dimitrievski hardly got around to playing this season. He only collected 180 minutes, exclusively in cup matches against Maracena and Cartagena. In that last match he distinguished himself by saving a penalty in the final phase, allowing Valencia to advance to the next round.
