The Clippers welcome the Grizzlies to the Intuit Dome for the NBA regular season. The Californians continue to sink into a very complicated season, with a terrible record of 6 victories and 19 defeats. The attack is sorely lacking in movement and creativity, with too many poorly constructed possessions. Defensively, the team no longer imposes any pressure and too often suffers from opposing runs. Recent results show a group losing confidence, and incapable of reacting collectively. The bench provides no stability. The dynamic is extremely negative and the short-term trajectory of the season is very bleak.
Memphis is still struggling to find real continuity despite some encouraging matches. The defensive intensity returns at times, but remains too irregular to string together victories. Offensively, the collective is progressing but still lacks creativity against well-organized defenses. The Grizzlies lose too many close games, with poorly managed money times. The latest results are generally positive with visible progress. But the overall level of play remains mixed. We must not give up, because Ja Morant’s teammates are not far from hitting the right wagon.
