Pablo Peirano was dismissed as Nacional coach on October 27, one day after the 0-0 draw against Wanderers. Today, a month and a half later, he spoke for the first time after the departure of the tricolor team, news that, according to what he told the program The morning of football from El Espectador, “I didn’t expect it.”

I had the arguments to be in the final,” he added.
“Sometimes we played well and sometimes we played badly, but we scored a lot of goals and conceded few, with a balanced team,” he recalled, and praised several times that he had “an excellent relationship with the team.” “He had an incredible day to day life,” he indicated, and when they asked him if he thinks he could be Uruguayan champion in the finals against Peñarol, he was clear: “Yes, I am convinced.”
