Chiefs: Arrowhead Stadium Relocation Plans

Los Kansas City Chiefs have announced that they will leave the Arrowhead Stadium to build a new roofed stadium which will be located on the border between the states of Kansas y Missouri and will be inaugurated for the start of the 2031 season.

The announcement was shared after knowing the vote by a council of Kansas legislators in which the issuance of STAR bonds was unanimously approved to cover up to 70% of the cost of the stadium and mixed-use district.

It was informed that these bonds will be paid with income from state taxes on sales and drinks generated in the vicinity.

Our fans will continue to be the loudest in the NFL“Our games will continue to be the best place in the world to tailgate, and our players and coaches will be ready to compete for championships, because on and off the field, we are big dreamers and we are ready for the next chapter,” pointed out the owner of the team, Clark Hunt.

The team plans to build its stadium with an estimated budget of 3 billion dollars in Kansas Citynear the Kansas Speedway. Additionally, they also plan to build a $300 million practice facility in the Kansas City suburb of Olathe.
