Sporting Charleroi did not come far from beating the reigning champion at Mambourg. The winning goal scored by the Zebras was refused by the VAR, and Perfect Guiagon still has not digested it.
Against Union Saint-Gilloise, Sporting Charleroi barely existed in the first period and conceded the opener five minutes before returning to the locker room, via Promise David.
But in the second act, the Zebras rebelled, showed a much better face and did not come far from taking the three points. It was Antoine Colassin who sparked the revolt, by equalizing ten minutes from the end of regulation time.
Perfect Guiagon did not digest the canceled goal of Charleroi
Cheick Keita thought he had given Hans Cornelis’s men the victory at the end of added time, but his goal was canceled for a very slight offside. A decision which sparked strong reactions.
A canceled goal that Perfect Guiagon has not yet digested. On his account Instagramthe Ivorian left winger posted screenshots of the action with the messages: “It’s crazy” and “Look what he whistles, I promise it’s too much.”
Disappointed to have missed the mark at the end of the game, the Carolos will however have to draw inspiration from this good performance, and especially from this second half, when they host Racing Genk this Friday, who will also have a new coach on their bench.
