According to national health data, the long duration of device use causes children to move less and less. The impact not only increases the risk of obesity, but also has the potential to hinder motor development and cognitive abilities in the golden age of growth.

The SenengMinton Festival is designed as a badminton-based fun games event. The children participated in various activities such as shuttle races, zigzag races, shuttlecock tossing and target practice. The entire series is adapted to the age of the participant to train coordination, speed and agility.
This approach is considered to be in line with scientific studies that intense physical activity between the ages of six and nine can help the development of brain function, including increasing concentration and absorption of learning.
The enthusiasm of the participants could be seen in the total attendance, which reached 2,266 primary school students from dozens of schools in Central Java. In addition to the children, parents and accompanying teachers also seemed to actively support the activities.
Vice President of the Central Java Provincial Government of PBSI, Yuni Kartika, welcomed the celebration of the SenengMinton Festival. According to him, the introduction of badminton from an early age is an important foundation for the long-term development of athletes.
«We want children to love badminton from the beginning through a fun process. From here, it is hoped that interest in the sport can grow and develop to a more serious level of training,” Yuni said.
