The ceremony took place in the Hall of the west tribune of the National Stadium and was attended by the general manager of the IPD, Juan Lizárraga; the director of the National Directorate of Sports Training and Techniques, Iliich Ascarza; and the director of CEDE, Óscar Alvarado.
During 2025, CEDE students achieved 261 medals, highlighting 13 international ones, a reflection of disciplined work that combines academic excellence and high-level sports preparation.
“This has been a year that has had intense days in academics and sports, but you have demonstrated your commitment and responsibility to face all the challenges. Those who are already finishing their school years, remember that the CEDE will always be their home. And for those who continue, we are sure that in 2026 they will do better, because they will follow the example of their older brothers,” said the manager of the IPD, Juan Lizárraga.
The medals obtained were in: amateur wrestling (63), taekwondo (54), athletics (72), boxing (19), judo (16), weightlifting (10), soccer (1) and badminton (26).
The CEDE has 186 primary and secondary students, in addition to 27 graduates who maintain their sporting connection, who are trained in disciplines such as athletics, badminton, boxing, soccer, judo, weightlifting, amateur wrestling and taekwondo.
Among the most notable students who have represented Peru in international competitions are André Huarcaya, Pool Ambrocio and Justina Benítez (amateur wrestling); Fiorella Cueva, Estrella Saldarriaga and Analí Saldarriaga (weightlifting); Noemí Huayhuameza and Daniel Castillo (judo); as well as the medalists of the Ayacucho – Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games Hassani Andrade, Israel Castillo (taekwondo) and Brian Roque (badminton).
The CEDE’s purpose is the comprehensive training of boys, girls and adolescents from 9 to 16 years old, with outstanding aptitudes for sports, promoting their academic and sports development through quality education and systematic training aimed at high performance.
Admission 2026
The CEDE will begin its 2026 admission process for new students from 4th grade of primary school to 2nd grade of secondary school, in order to incorporate young people who demonstrate high-performance sports projection and academic commitment.
The process will be open from January 5 to February 6, 2026.
