The club, created at the end of 2009 to give continuity to local basketball, celebrated the anniversary with a message on social networks in which it claims that it is ‘much more than a team from a town’
The Cambre Basketball Club is celebrating its anniversary. The entity recalled that today marks 16 years since its foundation and took advantage of the date to highlight the path it has traveled with a message of pride and gratitude to its people, on and off the track.
According to the club’s own information, it was born at the end of 2009 taking over the basketball team from the Cambre Sports Group and since then it has grown relying on the youth team and the feeling of belonging. In the 2020-2021 season, it brought together around 100 players distributed across nine teams, from baby basketball to seniors.
Beyond the federated competition, CB Cambre highlights its social and educational aspect with initiatives throughout the year such as solidarity events, technical training days, tournaments and camps.
The club also appears in the records of the Galician Basketball Federation and maintains continuous activity with teams in different categories.
