Casademont Zaragoza beat Araski this Sunday (76-70), in the thirteenth matchday of the Women’s League, and remains at the top of the standings. He won with more difficulties than expected against a rival who, despite coming to the event from the penultimate position, never gave up. Nadia Fingall, with 17 points, was the top scorer for the Zaragoza team. Behind them were Helena Pueyo (14) and Merrit Hempe (13).
With this result, the Aragonese team equaled the best start in its entire history (2023-2024 season), with a balance of 11 wins and only one defeat in the first 12 games of the Women’s League. Outstanding records for a team that also won the Super Cup last September and continues to decisively compete for the Final Six in the top continental competition.
The beginning was already hectic, without rest, with a very high rhythm. Casademont handled themselves with great confidence from the first minute of play and knew how to generate advantages in each of their attacks. In fact, they added 26 points in the opening act (26-19), with Nadia Fingall (9) and Helena Pueyo (7) as the main offensive arguments.
